Challenge

We observed the need for private security at our operations, and an opportunity to provide training and employment to local youth.

Solution

We started a security academy, the Thriveni Industrial Security Academy (TISA) which imparts free training to local youth, benefitting hundreds of families who have no other chance for financial stability.

Selected youth from economically deprived communities were identified, counselled and chosen for basic skillsets making them suitable for the expanding security and disaster management industries. The entire expense of training is borne by the company.

A forty five day formalised course is conducted by a dedicated set of trainers who are all ex-defence personnel. Each batch consists of up to 80 students belonging to the districts of Keonjhar and Hazaribag of Jharkhand, where our operations are located.

Benefit

The Academy has over the years not only produced people who have gone on to serve Indian security and defence establishments but also produced state and national level sports personalities. It has instilled the importance of workforce discipline. In doing so it has prepared over 2500 youths to seek better jobs for themselves in various fields. It has saved them from the path of insurgency that had been ever-prevalent prior to the arrival of economic activity.
