India’s first team of HEMM Women drivers
- India’s first team of HEMM women drivers
- 12 women drivers from a tribal backgrounds have been certified to operate 100 tonne dumper trucks at the PB coal mine
- They previously drove auto-rickshaws, and have now gained official permission from the NTPC
- The company is confident that they will inspire several others

We set up a garment and footwear manufacturing unit close to Pakri Barwadih Coal Mines.
- The main thrust of the project is to empower women socially and economically so that they could contribute to society.
- The project is likely to benefit 17 villages of Chepakalan, Dadikalan and Sindiwari panchayats of the Barkagaon block.
- The project aims to provide employment to 1000 people, most of them women.

Achievements
- Trained the tribal women, enrolling them into skilled programs of Tailoring, Stretching, Driving etc.
- Extended financial support to the SHGs.
- Apparel Unit run by Skilled tribal women through proper training through partnerships with Government Institutes.
- Mukta Munda, a local tribal girl, was awarded the Bronze medal in Special Olympics in Football in 2019 held in Abu Dhabi.

Security trainingSimulator trainingDriver trainingTraining the differently-abledSecurity training- We identified the need for private security, and an opportunity to provide employment to local youth.
- We started an academy which imparted free training to youth, benefitting hundreds of families who had no other opportunity to achieve financial stability.
- We selected youth from the BPL category and provided them with basic skill sets, making them employable for the burgeoning security and disaster management industries. The entire training expenditure is borne by the company.
- The forty-five-day course is conducted by a dedicated set of trainers who are retired defence personnel. Each batch consists of up to 80 students from BPL families belonging to the district of Keonjhar & Hazaribag of Jharkhand.
- The academy has over the years not only produced people who have gone on to serve Indian security and defence establishments but also produced state and national level athletes.
Simulator training- Thriveni has set up an academy for simulator-based training in large mining equipment. We own some of the most advanced simulators in the world.
- This training institute is recognized by the Skill Development Council of India.
- It provides operators with a safe environment to learn and practise their skills. It is an affiliated training centre for SCMS under the National Skill Development Corporation of GOI.
- Through further skill upgradation these people, once unskilled and unemployable, now operate some of the largest mining machines available in the world.
Driver training- We designed and launched Project Sarathi which enables skill upgradation of security guards to LMV and HMV Drivers through rigorous professional, practical and simulator training.
- The first batch of 18 MTLL Guards enthusiastically joined the training program.
- We aim to roll out one batch every month.
Training the differently-abled- Our foundation conducted several training sessions in collaboration with the Govt of Tamil Nadu to impart training to those who are visually impaired in Salem, Tamil Nadu.
- Through interactive & innovative sessions with professionals, the Thriveni Foundation has brought light to the lives of many individuals who have lost all hope of a normal life.
- Through the Vodafone centre, we have provided employment to more than 50 people while creating an avenue of employment for many more through specialised training sessions, free of cost.
- The Thriveni Foundation is the only charitable foundation in the country operating a tailoring unit run by the the differently-abled, creating an avenue of employment for hordes of people.
At Thriveni, we consider ourselves custodians of the locality in which our operations are present. We aim to deliver solutions beyond mining.

We have a 24 x 7 Medical facility in and around the projects and Occupational Health Centers with NIOH certified Doctors for testing for occupational diseases.
We started a Hi-Tech Diagnostic Centre in the year 2007 to cater for the pathological
investigation needs of Joda, Barbil.
In the 2001 malaria epidemic, we were the first to buy a machine for the tests and made
these available free of cost. For epidemic treatments at remote areas affected by the floods we ran health camps in the interior villages.
The famous American AS-OCT along with its peripheral equipment handed over to LVPEI, Bhubaneswar on the 29th day of July 2014. It is dedicated to service poor Glaucoma patients in Odisha.
After collecting data on rampant dengue in Barbil, our CSR team of doctors, pharmacists, health workers and officers were mobilized to create awareness saving many lives.
